How to delete your Surfsmash account and what happens to your data.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly from within the Surfsmash app:
- Open the Surfsmash app and sign in to your account
- Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation
- Tap Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account will be deleted immediately upon confirmation.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, all account data is permanently deleted, including:
- Your profile information (username, email, team name)
- Game progress, picks, predictions, and surfer card inventory
- League memberships and scoring history
- Stored preferences and app settings
Deletion is processed immediately upon confirmation. However, some data may be retained for up to 90 days in encrypted backups before being fully purged from all systems.
Anonymous, aggregated analytics data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained to help us improve the service.
